Will KBR's e-NG Contract Strengthen Its Clean Energy Growth?
KBR, Inc. secured a front-end engineering design (FEED) contract for Live Oak's electric natural gas (e-NG) project in Nebraska, which will combine renewable hydrogen with biogenic CO2 using approximately 250 MW of water electrolysis. The project targets commercial operations by 2030. Despite the award, KBR shares declined 1.4% during trading. The company's Sustainable Technology Solutions backlog reached a record $5.5B in Q2 2026 with a near-term pipeline exceeding $6B.
KBR’s Mission Technology Solutions Wins Expanded Contract to Help Predict Extreme Weather, Improve Severe Storm Preparedness
KBR announced that its Mission Technology Solutions business (to be spun off as Trinzic in January 2027) has won an expanded $1.1 billion five-year contract from NOAA's National Weather Service to provide commercial weather data and observational information. The contract will help improve severe storm prediction and emergency preparedness across the United States, building on KBR's nine-year track record supporting the Commercial Data Program National Mesonet Program.
KBR Strengthens U.K. Government Ties With MoJ Contract Win
KBR, Inc. has won a five-year Workplace Services Management contract from the U.K. Ministry of Justice, extendable to seven years, covering the entire prison and probation estate. The contract will leverage KBR's VIAverse-powered Estates Intelligence platform to enhance data transparency and decision-making. KBR ended Q2 FY26 with $23B in backlog and options, with mobilization beginning in Q3 2026 and full service commencement in June 2027.
KBR Secures New Ministry of Justice Contract, Advancing UK Government Transformation Programme
KBR's Mission Technology Solutions business (to be renamed Trinzic post spin-off) has secured a five-year Workplace Services Management contract with the UK Ministry of Justice, expanding its services across the entire prison and probation estate. The contract, valued as part of the Ministry's Property Transformation Programme, will leverage KBR's Estates Intelligence solution and VIAverse® platform. Mobilisation begins Q3 2026 with full service commencement on June 1, 2027.
